FM ADVENTURE: WEEKEND HEAT.

Awesome weekend.

Our fam at 100.9 The Heat invited us for a show in the High Desert.. which is the Palmdale/ Lancaster area.

We’ve rocked out there before with The Heat (past show) and they always get the place packed and rockin. They also asked us to do a quick on air interview which would be our first time on air at 100.9 The Heat. Of all days.. there was CRAZY traffic on the way there and we had to get to the station before they go off air at 10pm. it was 9:30pm and we were around 30 min away. We got a hold of them on the phone to do a phoner interview instead, got thru and said hello live on air… then all of a sudden.. the phone cuts out.
The drive to the high desert area is full of hills and all kinds of cell phone deadzones lol We called them back while listening to 100.9 while driving and heard them say there was some technical difficulties.. then we heard them play our song “LOWRIDIN”.
i put the petal to the metal and with the grace of god we got to the radio statio at 9:55pm… 5 minutes of air time left… we ran right up to the booth with Big Matt live on air and got right to the interview..

YO… is that Debbie Deb’s signature??? You know we had to tag that up right under!

pretty exciting.. and this was just the beginning of the night…

Got a chance to tell the listeners about our Animal album and what we’ll be performing at the club.. the Bamboo Lounge in Lancaster.

DJ SKIP of the Ski Boyz was live in the mix… spun “Lowridin” and always rockin “GIRLS ON THE DANCE FLOOR”

Right after our interview.. we needed to get a quick rehearsal in since our homie DJ Butch from the Under The Table Crew was filling in for DJ Virman who was rockin a set in Hawaii. It was getting super close to show time and we needed a quit spot to put our set together.. but luckily DJ Skip from The Heat told us we could cruise over to his house to rehearse. GOOD LOOKIN OUT!

He had a dope music studio set up upstairs.. keyboards, guitars, turntable set up.. like a mini club! haha
we went over the set with Butch.. and he’s rocked with us a few times before so he got the order of songs and cues real quick.

It was around 11:50 and we had to perform at 12am… we had to rush over to the club which was 5 minutes from Skip’s house, pulled right up to the club and saw our homie DJ Hurricane and Craig EC from 100.9. They handed us wireless mics right thru the window.. walked right thru the door of the club and right as we were walking up to the stage we could hear Big Matt introducing us to the crowd…no time for preparation or nervousness.. LETS JUST ROCK THIS…

The club was off the hook. Thanks to all the 100.9 The Heat fam for having us and throwing a rockin show. Was good meeting a bunch of fam out there reppin FM too.
