EATING FM: The Best Fish Taco in San Diego?
(The GET U HOME Tour with Shwayze Part 1.)
Hit the road with Shwayze and Cisco Adler (Hit singles “Buzzin” and “Corona and Lime”/MTV Show “Buzzin”) for a few dates on their “GET U HOME” Tour promoting their new single and album coming in Nov called “LET IT BEAT”.

First city on this tour was a city we’ve come to know very well the last few months… San Diego… we def need to buy a place out here to crash. We arrived early to visit our homie Chris Loos who hosts the morning show on San Diego radio station Blazin 98.9 and invited us for in interview on air. Thank you guys for bumpin “Girls On The Dance Floor” non stop out there and thanks to the fans for requesting the song. Its the best feeling in the world as an artist and songwriter when we have a show and the crowd knows the words to the songs, and thats thanks to the radio stations and DJs.

Thanks Chris Loos for the Morning Show Interview!
We decided to make the mission for this trip: “The search for the best Fish Taco in San Diego”.
The best fish tacos must be near the ocean, so since San Diego is a beach/ sailor type city, we hit downtown and started driving around near the piers and navy ships…

We finally found our first spot… Fish Taco Spot #1 Called Randy’s Diner

These tacos were better than any Wahoo fish taco or baja fish taco i’ve had. It was a huge piece of fish that was grilled up and juicy, not dry like cardboard… and the sauce was like a creamy ranch sauce and pico de gallo was just the right toppings for a hit. Since this is only the first fish taco spot, i don’t wanna get too excited and we’ll see what we can find later, but so far this spot is a winner.

Props to the Hard Rock Hotel in Daygo for the fresh rooms. What does San Diego mean in German? (translation here)
The show was at our favorite performance venue in every city.. The House Of Blues where we just rocked with LMFAO. We’ve been in the studio alot working on the new album with the Stereotypes, so they needed a break from the cave and came out to rock with us at this show. Also, the homies from Long Beach with that new hit “Miss Me Kiss Me” called the Cold Flamez was on this tour.. these dudes are hella cool.. the new WEST. I remember hearing their music on myspace a while back from our homie Lee at Asylum records and now they’re song is all over the radio.

The homie Chunk from Orisue was in the house dj’in for the Cold Flamez
Green Room Talk. Usually we chill backstage and go over our set or make any changes needed, but when we all can agree we have a set that we’re going to stick with and we know it well, then we have time to zone out before the show and just clown and kick it. To keep witty and on our toes on the road, we play word games or diss on each other to a whole nother level too keep us all laughing. Gotta stay laughing and happy when you travel cuz we wouldn’t be wanting to do anything else. We learned a good word game from Lady La from The Fresh Fiends where you say a word like “LA” and see how many words you can make out of it.. like: LAdy, LA Brea, LAbron James, LAtitude, LAme, LAugh and so on and so on…The point is to come up with a word no one else will think of that will get peeps to say daym. This could go on all night, from the same word. We’ll be chillin at dinner and throw out a few words.. then a few hours later after the show some one will yell “LAmborghini!!!!” lol.

Rocked the House Of Blues SD with Shwayze
The show was slammin like always in Daygo, thank yall for making Girls On The Dance Floor a smash in the clubs and top song on the radio countdowns out there.
Woke up in the morning starving. The room at the Hard Rock was packed with the most tempting snacks known to man, but i had to resist and hold out for our search for the next Fish Taco Spot…

Must ..not.. look directly.. at the Pringles can…..
Fate knocked on FM’s door, right when we walked outside the hotel look at what we see..

The Tin Fish Restaurant in Downtown San Diego got Fish/Shrimp tacos galore
This was the perfect way to wake up in Daygo.. and we found the next challenger for the title of “the Best Fish Taco in San Diego”. We all ordered some Fish Tacos and threw in some Shrimp just cuz… while we waited for our food outside on the chill patio, i noticed Kev Nish rocked at throwback tee shirt from an old show we had at Dartmouth College throwin by our boy Phil aka Intrikit almost 3 years ago or more.

The show was us with producer Illmind and DJ Neil Armstrong from the 5th Platoon, who is now Jay-z’s official DJ.. and it tripped me out cuz we just met up with Neil Armstrong when we performed at Powerhouse. Its crazy to see how far we’ve both came since then.. more so Neil tho haha i just saw him on the Jay Leno Show with Jay-z a few nights ago.

Backstage at Powerhouse with DJ Neil Armstrong
Waiting for food gives us more anxiety than waiting to get on stage LOL

The food here was off the hook. Some of the best fish and shrimp tacos i’ve ever tasted.. and the Tin Fish is a spot i would have to visit every time i come to SD.. that means, THE TIN FISH Wins the title of “Best Fish Taco Spot in San Diego” until yall show us otherwise haha.
Next stop on the Shwayze “Get U Home” Tour for us is Dallas and Houston… that adventure is coming sooon.
