FM ADVENTURE: RENO 911

Landed in the “biggest little city on earth”… Reno, Nevada. This was our first time ever going to Reno so we were pretty excited to see a new city… and this isn’t any city, its a city where you can GAMBLE!!!!!!!! oh no.. we better hold on to our plane tickets and count our rent money cuz we’re either coming home millionaires or going broke.

Right as we step out the airport we see limo waiting to take us to the Grand Sierra Resort where we were staying and performing at night.

Now of coarse we came here to work… but being that this place is a resort, it must mean theres a ton of fun stuff to do… 1 of them being gambling haha.. and look at the smile on DJ Virman’s face… he has the look of excitement i’ve never seen in all the years and it sure aint excitement from traveling or performing HAHA

We decided to make this trip memorable and take a risk… we decided put in all the money we had on us in 1 pot which equalled $2,000… if he looses then we go home BROKE, without party money, food money or cab money for when we get back to LA.. but if we win, well… then we WIN! hahha

We gave our money to Virman since he usually has the best luck at the tables and the smile in his picture showed a confidence we’ve never seen before.. lets cross our fingers and see how he does…

While Vir was playing we went to check out where we’d be performing later that night.. it was a club called “THE BEACH”.. an outdoor club at the hotel that was just like a beach, with sand and cabanas and a pool.. definitely looked like paradise in the middle of the desert

Went back to go check on Virman who was at the roulette table… and he was up $500!!! just betting on his favorite numbers..GO VIRMAN! Looks like our choice was paying off and we’ll be going home with a little bit of extra paper padding in our pockets!!!

They don’t allow cameras in the casino so i risked my life taking this shot for yall

After a few hours we needed to check up on Virman cuz we were starving and could use a good dinner. Remember Virman’s big a$$ smile??? that smile was turned waaay upside down… He said he was on a roll for a while, but started missing his numbers, and making up for it by putting more money on the table to try and make the money back… as it got closer to showtime, he decided to go for it and dropped almost all the money on a few numbers but just the luck of the Far East Movement… HE LOST EVERYTHING!!!!!

What did we learn from this disasterous loss… never trust a confident smile.

HAHAHA kidding.. but definitely don’t gamble irresponsibly like us hahha.. cuz now we have no money to eat dinner or breakfast in the morning, no money to party, and no money for even water to drink at the club.. aint water free??

Even tho we felt our luck was down, we came here to perform.. and that WE DID.
Got The Beach ROCKIN and the Girls On The Dance Floor like we do. Thanks to our homie Prophetic and the Reno fam for coming out and thank you to the ILL Dj’s spinning “Girls On The Dance Floor” in the clubs out there. Big thanks to the club and promoters for having us at The Beach.. one of my new favorite clubs… next time we roll out there i hope we get a days just to relax and catch a tan haha.

AND.. huge thank you to the radio stations in reno, WILD 102.9 and Z 93.7 for playing “Girls On The Dance Floor”. To all the fans and fam out there.. please request the song as much as you can and spread the word!

No money in J-Splif’s pocket makes him a “NON V.I.P.”

Reno is serious tho.. even walking thru the airport there are slot machines calling out “play me! play me!! im just 1 lil old dollar!” … and its hard to say no when the jackpots look so win-able…

Prohgress had $1 left hiding in his pocket… and the jackpots on the slot machines looked too tempting to pass up… so we decided to go for it…

Moral of this trip for FM… leave the gambling to the pros on espn world series of poker, and stick to jumpin around on stage and getting girls on the dance floor. We came to Reno in a limo and left Reno in a free 99 airport shuttle and no money for tip.

Its like the saying “I came to Reno and all i got was this lousy t-shirt!”
