PARTY ROCK TOUR: NEW YORK PART 1
Sold out Party Rock Tour show at Toad’s Place in Connecticut right across the street from Yale was insane. We’re blessed to have yall reppin FM out there, our first time was memorable.

Right after the crazy show we got to say hello to a few of the Cherrytree Chat fam and the FM Animal Bus took off to New York City…
NY is one of our favorite places to visit cuz we never know who we might run into, and for some reason we happen to run into a grip of peeps, so much action that we had to split our NY post into Part 1 and Part 2 haha.
Got into New York a day early, which means a good day for us to relax and EAT. A great thing about NYC is the food selection. We hit up West 32nd st for some Korean BBQ since we’ve been eating lots of lean pockets, chips and gummi bears on the bus we need a good change. While walking around we just randomly happen to bump into a homie, the one and only DJ Neil Armstrong, Jay-z’s official DJ from the Roc Boys and the 5th Platoon. Last time we ran into Neil was during our show together at Powerhouse 09 opening for Jay-Z, so it was a trip to randomly run into him on the streets of NY. He didn’t eat and hadn’t had Korean BBQ in years so he ended up joining us for some grub and a chance to catch up on what we all been up to the last few months.

Neil told us about a party the producer Illmind was throwing at a spot called Santos later on and since we had the night off it sounded like a plan. When we got in we was once again surprised by NYC, ended up running into our homegirl Cat from Motown, photographer Rey and 1/2 of our favorite hiphop group from Seattle called the Blue Scholars named Sabzi.

Since everything is open till 4am out here, the night was still young so we hit up a random club i forgot the name of that was poppin. Right when we walk in, what a trippp… we see Talib Kweli who did a remix to our song Girls On The Dance Floor earlier in the year and gave us a shout out in an interview. Before we could even say wassup to him we hear “GIRLS ON THE DANCE FLOOR” on the speakers and we all go craaaazy. To be in a random club in NY and hear Talib Kweli spin our song had to have been the icing on the cake for tonight. We went up to the DJ booth and said wassp and gave huge props to him and his wife DJ Eque who originally put him on to our music.

Our bbq was fully digested by 4am so it was time for more Eating FM NYC. Our girl Cat took us to a famous pizza spot around NY called Joe’s Pizza which was featured in the Spiderman Movie, where Peter Parker used to deliver pizzas. The pie here is bomb… classic NY style, thin crust that folds crisp, sweet sauce, cheese and pepperoni.. thats all you neeed.

This was our night off and ended up being an action packed crazy night, and we got it all on our handheld cam which will def be in the next FM Satellites episode 3 coming next tuesday… including the rest of our crazy NY trip… from our day with MTV Iggy, our concert being EVACUATED, and the biggest Subway Sandwich challenge ever by DJ Virman…
