FM ADVENTURE: POWERHOUSE BACKSTAGE…

This day may have been the craziest day of our lives… we’ve spent weeks getting ready for this day (FM Preparing for Powerhouse) and it finally came.. and in a billion life times as artists we never thought we’d ever have a chance to perform at Powerhouse, (the biggest hip hop concert on the west coast) and this one was historical since JAY-Z was headlining.
Only a few years ago we were in the crowd star struck at this massive concert but now thanks to Power 106, thanks to our incredible fans requesting our single “Girls On The Dance Floor”, thanks to the Stereotypes, and BIG Thanks to GOD… we were given the opportunity to be Official Powerhouse Artists and perform on the main stage… and thank the lord i had my camera to capture behind the scenes and backstage on this amazing day. We arrived at the Honda Center with capacity around 18,000 capacity.. made sure to get there super early to make soundcheck and set up

Soundcheck was awesome, prolly the best sound system we’ve ever had a chance to rock on… and we heard its cuz most of it was specially brought in for Jay-Z’s special set up… they got a full orchestra.. THE ROCK BOYZ IN THE BUILDING!
We just dropped our new single on radio called “2 IS BETTER” featuring YA BOY, another Powerhouse artist who had the hit song in LA “WE RUN LA”.

Starting to get hungry an hour before showtime, and the best concert had the best catering… tomato basil soup, wasabi halibut, chicken mole, prime rib, mash potatoes, cookies, carrot cake..

Had a chance to chop it up with Lil Jon… CRAZY he was sayin he knew our music and because of the song “Girls On The Dance Floor” he started working with the Stereotypes… YEAAAAYUUUUUUH!
LMFAO and the Polka Dot Bikini girls… we’ll be on tour with LMFAO for the Party Rock Tour most of November and December.. be on the look out for the dates!

JAY-Z’s Offical DJ… DJ Neil Armstrong from the 5th Platoon was IN THE HOUSE. One of the illest djs around and an all around cool brutha.. reppin for the Pinoys and Asian Americans and makes FM dayyym proud! Definitly follow him on Twitter.com/djneilarmstrong *tell him FM sent ya 
TABOO from the Black Eyed Peas… Months before they dropped their new album “THE E.N.D.” he was tellin us that the new BEP songs are next level… and daym was he right.. they took it to the next level with this album.
Now its showtime… Sold out Powerhouse.. 18,000 people… sweaty palms… a crazy intro video pops up on the big screen and the crowd goes crazy. It wasn’t till our video popped up on the screen and they announced our name and the crowd went crazy that i realized this is all real.. FM is actually HERE!!! All the years of making music, promoting online, shows and tours, fans and family flashed in my mind for a few seconds and i felt more greatful to be alive and be doing what im doing than i’ve ever been.

Pitbull and Lil Jon KILLED IT… club banger after club banger.. got the whole place “CRAZY”.

After all this crazieness… they brought out a secret un-announced performer… THE BLACK EYED PEAS.. rocked it with “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Got A Feelin”
They had a crazy stage set up.. with giant balloon robots, ninja dancers and confetti… pretty sick…
And we had to get a few extra shots of Fergie with the FM Cam.. it was too close not too ya feeel????
The crowd settles… the stage starts changing shape, instruments get set up and after almost 30 minutes Big Boy, Tattoo, Luscious Liz, DJ Eman and the whole Big Boy’s Neighborhood family go on stage to introduce the headlining act.. JAY-Z. All the sudden the Honda Center goes dark and huge numbers start to appear on the big screen.. and count down from 2 Minutes…..
BOOOOM…. HOVA, JIGGA… JAY-Z takes the stage with D.O.A…. time for me to become a fan for a quick sec… i can’t believe i actually got to say waddup to Jay-z as he was walking thru backstage.. ILLNESS x 1 BILLION.

WOW. Powerhouse 2009 was incredible. Every performance was off the hook. JAY-Z KILLED IT.
Right after we were invited to 2 Powerhouse After Parties to perform, 1 in Fullerton with our homie DJ Ever from Power105 and another in West Covina at Crazy Horse with DJ Felli Fel from Power106. Felli Fel was the first DJ to break “GIRLS ON THE DANCE FLOOR” on major radio.. THANK YOU FELLI FEL!. Lil Jon happen to be in the house, so we got to perform “Girls On The Dance Floor” with Lil Jon… PLACE GOT CRUNK.
