Happy Candy Day ya’ll. Last night was another great game that came down to the wire. Thanks to South High in Torrance for hosting us!!

THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

This was their star player. The guy was a beast!! kept screaming a whole lot. Guess he was hungry cuz he kept wanting to dine in….

hahaha…I want ya’ll to meet DJ Coke-e (left) and DJ Joseph Gettright aka Jaycee J (right). These 2 actaully graduated South High back in the day…

It must feel good to come back to your old stomping grounds and help your alma mater raise funds. We’ve known these two cats for a few years now and they’ve showed nuthin but love since day 1. Coke-e used to be DJ Quick’s deejay and still rocks the airwaves for Power on the weekends. I swear Coke-e only says 5 words max the whole night…hahaha. But he’s a dope cat and he wants to be your friend….right here!! Tell him FM sent ya!! Mr. Gettright has been rockin clubs/shows since the turn of the century. (makes it sound a lot longer doesn’t it?) He also tells me he knew Catch since he was in 5th grade. Small world. My man has a new mixtape out and you can stream it for $FREE.99!!!

You know we F’s with electro….This is us in Vegas a few years back. I think it was the Hot Import Nights afterparty…Fish, Gettright, Splif, Proh, Catch…good times

Back to game updates…So the game was a good one. Once again it came down to the final shot to decide the outcome. And once again we were down 2 with less than 10 seconds to go. We all decided Nana aka Junior Battle was going to take the last shot. That was a no brainer…99.99999999999999999% of the time, he will get the last shot. Our play was to set a double creen for Nana so he can either drive to the basket and tie the game, or knock a 3 in their eye for the win. Of course their whole team and their mamas knew who was going to get the last shot so they kinda double teamed him all the way. So with precious seconds winding down, the ball gets thrown to me. I take a few dribbles and wait until I see Nana coming down the baseline to spot up for the 3. I gave him a bounce pass….he set his feet….squared his shoulders…sprung off the floor…got his jersey pulled down while attempting….the referee was doing his best Ray impersonation….and the other team celebrated. DAMN IT!!! Sad way to lose but we beat them 2 years in a row so it’s only fair they win this one.

hmmmmm…….maybe I need to be more Kobe and just start chuckin the ball at the basket? At least I’ll have a higher chance of scoring…I might just try that next game. Hope everyone doesn’t get mad and I get benched..haha. Although we lost the game…seeing some South High fam made my night. Meet Ashley, Meghan, and Trisha (L-R). They let me know that everything was going to be A-OK!!
