EATING FM - “DUCK FETUS” Part 1
If you ever watched the show “Fear Factor” with an old Asian person you would hear them say “Those contestants are weak, if I was on that show when they eat the pigs feet or cow intestine i’d win…”
All Asian cultures as whole have some pretty interesting/stomach twisting delicacies, and with our home girl Nance we were able to uncover an old Vietnamese and Filipino delicacy of eating a half born baby duck fetus right out of the egg…
Donald and Daffy better close they’re eyes… this episode could get messy…

FM FAMILY: “CRASH”
Over the past few years I haven’t been able to watch a lot of movies, and out of the few that I have watched theres only a handful that I actually liked. One film that is in my top 5 for the decade is CRASH…so I was ecstatic when I found out that Dennis Hopper decided to make a tv show about it on the STARZ network.
Then we got a call from our buddy BRIAN TEE (from our “Dance Like Mike” vid and “Fast and Furious 3″)…..

Our new album “ANIMAL” was inspired by bits of all the pop culture we grew up on from the 80’s and 90’s to even now along with all the Asian influences on mainstream through the years, from anime to food. All of what FM grew up on has lead to a new milestone in pop culture, “ANIMAL”.
The mission is ANIMAL TAKEOVER, a test of your knowledge of Asian American influence on POP CULTURE and the stuff that the FAR EAST MOVEMENT is made of, OUR LIFE STYLE.

FM ADVENTURE: MEDIA FOR WHO?
During this journey as the FAR EAST MOVEMENT, we’ve made it a mission to push towards making the Asian face more common in mainstream media… a movement forwards towards changing stereotypes and representing on a higher level.
We’ve been blessed with some great outlets for our music to be heard with networks like AZN pushing for programming that allowed the new generation to shine and the rise of MTV Chi, MTV K and MTV Desi a few years ago, which was huge for Asian American entertainers all over as a great resource for all of us to be heard on a much larger level with a brand that internationally recognized and respected… but both networks didn’t last the test of time and had to shut down… maybe because of lack of support? or maybe not enough of us knew about it?
As we keep pushing and growing every year as FM, its hard to see networks and publications that have been so key to our growth and the growth of the scene just fade away… As many newer incredible media outlets are being created to allow the Asian Am Community to shine like sites like AngryAsianMan.com, MTVIGGY.COM and many more, whats happening to the outlets that have paved the way for all of us?
