FM ADVENTURE: HOTEL LIVIN SAC TO SD.
Thanks to yall reppin FM in other cities, “Girls On The Dance Floor” keeps on spreading to dance floors and radio stations in new spots. The song has been keeping us busy with shows after shows and a whole lot of traveling… which means a whole lot of hotels. I’ve come to appreciate a comfy hotel room. Nothing beats starched up sheets, sparkling white bathrooms and wake-up calls at 4:30am so we don’t miss our flights. On this episode of FM TRAVEL, we’ll be taking a look at some of the things we’ve come to appreciate about hotels on our trip to San Diego and Sacramento over the last few days.
First stop is sunny San Diego. This is our second time in SD in less than a month (TRIP 1) with a big thanks to the radio stations Blazin’ 98.9, Z90, and Channel 93.3 for getting the Girls On The Dance Floor in Daygo. The show was at Club Envy at a pretty sweet hotel called The IVY. They sent an suv from San Diego to pick us up from Downtown LA and bring us back to SD.. GREAT LOOKIN.

Since we didn’t have to stress about the drive, it gave us a chance to go live on FM TV right from inside the car.. on the freeway haha. Good times, and made the car ride go by fast as a nascar.

The hotel has their own Escalade.. sittin on dubs.
Arrived at The Ivy Hotel a few hours before the show, just enough time to check in and check out our rooms and kick off our shoes for a second

Looked like a sick place to stay.. lets take a tour inside..

Right when we walked in the room we were greeted by probably one of the most stocked mini bar areas i’ve ever seen in a hotel… like a mini liquor store for reaaaaaaal. Everytime we get to a hotel we always make a mental note “DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING FROM THE MINI BAR”.. cuz they always tax your pants off, but by the end of the night we end up going thru half the mini bar… for good reason tho, because after our shows end and we get back to the hotel around 2am or so, we don’t know the cities to be searching for a place when we’re hungry and thirsty and most places are closed anyway at that time.

How can you say no to Gummy Bears and Pringles waving at you?
I gotta say this place is pretty pimp.. the beds had 3 types of blankets on em and thats more than i have at home haha, nice big screen tv and the bathrooms were out of a magazine.
Single Room.

Double Bed room.. beds in separate corners of the room.

Soap in a box.
Time to clean up and hit up the club for the show. Virman had to keep it fresco rockin the tan Nike Air Yeezy’s… they come in tan, grey and black and virman has completed the collection.

FM IN CLUB ENVY, San Diego.

Shouts to Lisa Kai, Jackie, John Choi from Climax SD and DJ Fillmatic for coming thru to chill.. and thanks to the fam from SD that came out at the show that night, we blessed to have yall reppin FM.
The car left at 5am to take us back to LA so we ended up not sleeping, just slept in the car for the 2 hr car ride back and had to get ready for our flight to Sacramento. Sac-town is the home town of the producers, the Stereotypes, who we will be working on our next album with. We decided to make this trip special and all of us fly up to the Cali Capitol city to party together.
Since we haven’t really slept.. here’s how we all felt at the airport.

Stereotypes picked us up from the airport and we headed over to the Four Points by Sheraton. We stayed at the Sheraton Suites in daygo last month which was pretty dope. This wasn’t the IVY but was still dope… cool flatscreen tvs, clean bathrooms and best of all… FREE WIRELESS Internet. Usually hotels charge $10 for wireless internet usage so when they offer it for free its like finding a surprise at the bottom of a cereal box.

Jon and Jer from the Stereotypes are both Sac-town natives, so we asked them to perform with us tonight at the club.. and JER is not a rapper, he’s a sick producer and the actual robot voice saying “GIRLS ON THE DANCE FLOOR” but has never offically rapped a bar in his life… so how dope would it be that he does his rapping debut in his hometown over “Girls On The Dance Floor”???? LETS DO IT.
The show was at FUGU lounge in the outskirts of Sac for a private birthday party for DI and hosted by our family Short E and Bennie Siegal from 103.5 The Bomb. Tonight was full of crazy surprises… DDK from 4C THE POWER and the incredible FM Norcal Street Team who made the drive from norcal to the sold out roxy show came thru the show to rep FM.
Another home-towner of Sacramento and one of the illest live painters we’ve ever met named DAVID GARIBALDI came thru the show as well when he heard we was in town for the night. I’m a huge fan of this dudes work.. he’s able to paint a whole insane painting in the time span of a song.. LIVE. For the time it might take to play Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” or “Thriller”.. he can paint these…

Check out live video of him doing this HERE. AMAZING.
The next surprise was only 2 mics were working at the venue when the only way you can get a full FM show is with 3 mics hahha. Time for us to play hot potato with the mics and do what we gotta do lol. And now.. for the moment we’ve all be waiting for… JER from the Stereotypes rapping debut EVER in his home town of Sacramento. Check him out rappin on the second verse to “Girls On The Dance Floor” over Ray Ro’s part hahahhaha.. great job my brutha!

After the show, Jon and Jer and Virman’s cousin Rommel took us on a tour thru Downtown Sac Town to a local pizza joint that stay’s open till 3am. They were just about to close but we were able to get our hands on a half cheese pizza and half pepperoni with a lil container of pesto sauce…. and it was the best thing we could ever ask for this late.

GET READY FOR FAR EAST MOVEMENT x STEREOTYPES NEW ISH…..
And BIG SHOUTS to our homie .. DJ SN1 from 103.5 The Bomb who came thru to our hotel right before we left to the airport to say waddup. This homie has been reppin the GIRLS ON THE DANCE FLOOR for a min and we’re blessed to have him reppin FM.
5AM.
Got to the airport extra early since Prohgress ended up leaving his drivers license in LA. This trip we learned that you can still get on the airplane without your ID as long as you go thru an extensive screening process at the security check.. that means rubber gloves and cavity search hahahhahahhah jk. But for real tho, if you loose your ID.. you can still get on the airplane.. good to know right?
We had almost 3hours to kill before our flight left, and the airport had free wifi so we went back on FM TV and to our surprise we weren’t the only ones up that late.. thanks for everyone tuning in and chilling with us. I ended up giving a quick preview of our new song featuring Ya Boy (song “We Run LA”) called “2 IS BETTER” produced by the Stereotypes.. and playing a little sample of the song we did with the Korean/Japan star named Se7en called “DO IT TONIGHT” for his upcoming english album which i hear might be dropping in a month or so.. it also features Lil Kim, Three 6 Mafia and more. Tune in to FM TV and you never know what you might get!

Ok.. i can’t keep my eyes open any more, 2 days with no sleep… time to knock out and hope we don’t miss our flight haha
