FM ADVENTURE: ALEX MELAMID - HOLY HIP HOP ARTÂ
last weekend i got a call from a friend who wanted to have a meeting with us about some new stuff she was doing….she told us she was working with this artist and she thought we’d really appreciate the work so we went to check it out…
so we rolled out to the FORUM ART GALLERY in crescent heights…
the artist’s name was alex melamid…he does classic style oil paintings…which is cool in itself but his subject matter for this exhibit was CRAZY…
he decided to do life-size portraits of prominent people in hip hop….to show u the size heres SNOOP in front of a string trio that was playing renditions of classic hip hop joints like “hip hop hooray” and “nuthin but a g thang”…haha

Ugh, I love the Snoop and KanYe pieces!
I feel like they’re missin some pieces.. Like Eric Wright and Andre Young.. Nothin like 2 of best friends that became the biggest of enemies, Eazy-E and Doctor Dre.
