EATING FM “I GOT CRABS” In Chicago.
The best part of EATING FM is that we get to try cool food from all over… and of all the restaurants we’ve tryed EVER… this next one has to be on the TOP 3. Our Chicago homies are proud of their food and when we were out in the ‘Windy City’, right when we stepped on the plane we headed straight to a famous seafood spot called Bob Chinn’s Crabhouse.

“kev, ur pants are falling down…”
Time to check out why this restaurant made my TOP 3….
Crab/Lobster/Shrimp is some of my all time favorite food.. but have you ever sat back while eating crab and thought… “dang that looks like a HUGE spider… like a sea spider…..” sometimes it makes me cringe with the thought, but once i crack the shell open on a king crab leg i’m alll goooood hahah

Bob Chinn’s is known for having the best crab in the mid west… and a great variety of seafood prepared better than anywhere else. Its such a popular spot that they need to have lines when you walk in just like a line for a ride at Disneyland.. and i hear the wait can get kinda crazy on a busy night.

They’re also known for being the highest grossing non franchise restaurant in Illinois and possibly in the nation… due to the high popularity and the pretty expensive menu… seafood this good aint cheap! The menu has snow crab, king crab legs steamed or chilled and prepared with special sauce or garlic sauce, lobster tail, shrimp, any type of steak for surf and turf, vermicelli noodles with crab on top and crab fried rice??? Wait up..
fried rice? …hmmmm.. Bob “Chinn’s”… Detective J-Splif has deducted – “I think the owner is Chinese..” HAHAHA wow that was a hard one to figure out Detective J-Splif, great work.
First they start you off with some dinner rolls drenched in olive oil and garlic and salt… MELTS IN YA MOUF.

How can we sneak these on the plane back to LA?
Then our hosts ordered a grip of appetizers.. mini scallops, fried calamari.. and the most creative appetizer i’ve ever had… mini blue crab claws that were shelled, drenched in a garlic sauce, and served like this…

Don’t you hate when you ate so much bread and appetizers that your full and are dreading the main coarse that you ordered? Thats how i was feeling, but once the plates started coming out i became a beast from the east, put my bib on and got to work.

Now thats a STEAK. I think i just heard a “mooooo” from the kitchen.

KING Crab Legs, side of fried rice, Garlic dippin sauce… Don’t bother me, I’M EATING.
Those crab legs were the TRUTH. The meat came right out the shell no problem.. and prepared to perfection. Like a true food critic, we dusted every piece of food on the table, Shells and all.. hahahha jk.
After eating seafood, you know your fingers going to have the funkiest stank on them like you let them soak in old toilet water for a few hours. The trick is to rub lemon juice all over your fingers right after you eat. Something about the acid and smell of the lemons that will take that fishy smell right off ya finger tips.

LOL

after washing my hands.. they had this really cool machine from the future to dry your hands off with. you dip your hand into the machine and a cool ray of light flashes on with a gust of crazy air like when you get your car washed and they blow dry the air right off.

This was an awesome mission to Bob Chinn’s Crabhouse. Thanks to CSG Entertainment in Chicago for the killer crab meal.. that check was no joke haha. We recommend this place a thousand times.. might even get a plane ticket just to eat it again. Its definitely one of our new favorite places to eat of all time.

I GOT CRABS!.. .wait … “I GOT MY CRABS…… AT BOB CHINN’S”.

The hand dryer there looks nicer than the ones they have in Oakland Airport. Probably because it’s white and the ones in Oakland Airport are silver/yellow.
