EATING FM “DEEP DISH” in CHI Town. Episode 11.
While in the windy city, our boys Kenny and Atlas had to show us what CHI TOWN was all about… THE DEEP DISH PIZZA.
I’ve always heard about it and seen Pizza Hut try and re create it.. so the hype was there, but did it live up to the hype??
From what Atlas told us, Chicago is most famous for its food.. and is the 2nd most overweight city right under Houston TX.
In the outskirts of Chi we’re told are some of the best and most famous food spots, and they took us to one called Giordano’s Famous Stuffed Pizza
The set up was similar to a Shakey’s or Roundtable Pizza in Cali, the typical pizza restaurant spot, but this place was far from typical…
Everyone was a little hungover from the night before so we all needed a little soup in the system.. the soup of the day was tomato garlic.. so 1 person ordered a cup and said it was incredible.. then everyone else at the table followed…
I’ll be the first to say.. it was pretty daym good. it wasnt like usual tomato soup… it had a creamy texture and every bite was the ish. pause.
Then we followed up with a mixed salad with italian dressing.. pretty standard.
Finally, the famous chi town deep dish pizza pies arrived…
Never in our lives had we seen pizzas constructed like that. They were at least 10lbs a pie, 4 fingers high.. and loaded full of ingredients.
We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a supreme, which had sausage, onions, peppers, cheese, cheese.. and more cheese.. and sauce.
The crust was the special part about the DEEP DISH. the crust was buttery like a real pie crust.. and tasted just like a pie. if yall are sensitive to dairy yall better pop 3 lactose pills before touching this pizza.. cuz with the amount of cheese inside yall might let one loose just looking at it.
Just off 1 piece each we was all stuffed pizzas…and it definitly lived up to the hype.. Giordano’s Deep Dish Pizza was the ish.

**2 Fingers up – Great Taste, if you get a chance… try it… i recommend it.
* 1 Finger up – Kinda wish i didnt eat there or order what i ordered … but i ate it and now im full.
- Middle Finger up – i threw it away while eating it… if i had a brick i’d throw it through the window.. and if i had lighter fluid and a lighter.. i’d burn that mutha down…

What WE Thought:
Restaurant: Giordano’s Famous Stuffed Pizza
Location: Outskirts of Chicago, ILLANOISE.
Price Range: a little bit pricier than regular sit down pizza restaurant prices…but worth it.
We recommend: Tomato Garlic Soup and the Supreme Deep Dish Pizza.
Service (new category): Good. Took a while to get the pizza but a creation like that takes time.
