EATING FM “Daikokuya” in Little Tokyo.. BIG EPISODE 20!!

Finally hit episode 20 of the Eating FM restaurant review… thats a grip of eating. Hopefully when yall visit different parts of town or places we’ve visited this blog helps you on finding some food.

Went to Little Tokyo to meet with the homies from the NSU crew to talk about life, the community and International Secret Agents.

We decided to hit up Daikokuya… a poppin restaurant within a row of restaurants on 1st street.

This place is always packed… no matter what time.. theres always a line and you have to sign up and wait your turn…

I used to hit this place up alot to pick up food to go.. cuz the food is good and i never have much time to cook.

The menu is pretty standard for a japanese restaurant… all kinds a noodles, rice dishes and bowls…

My favorite is the bento boxes here.

i used to get the 3 item combo… where they hook you up with miso soup, a cool little salad with good dressing, teriyaki chicken with no sauce cuz the chicken stays crispy, sashimi, and an 8 piece spicy tuna roll for $12.95.. but my appetite shrunk so now i just rock with the chicken and a spicy tuna roll.

Alot of people get the ramen here and say its pretty bangin.. so if you head out here… i’d say try it.

Talked to the NSU fam about the Remix Concert they put together in Little Tokyo about reaching out to the youth in the community thru music.. definitly a fly event with a fly lineup. I’m sure next year you’ll see FM.

They’re also helping us get the word out in the International Secret Agents concert and getting tickets on the streets.. thanks for the support fam.

EATING FM Rating system:

***3 Fingers up - MUST EAT.. crave for it.. amazing food. If you dont try it your missing out on life…

**2 Fingers up - Great Taste, if you get a chance… try it… i recommend it.

* 1 Finger up - Kinda wish i didnt eat there or order what i ordered … but i ate it and now im full.

- Middle Finger up - i threw it away while eating it… if i had a brick i’d throw it through the window.. and if i had lighter fluid and a lighter.. i’d burn that mutha down…

What WE Thought:

Restaurant: Daikokuya

Location: Little Tokyo

Price Range: $6.99-$12.99 for bowls and plates.

We recommend: Bento Box Combos - teriyaki chicken, spicy tuna rolls, sashimi, the side salad with the japanese dressing

Service: Getting to your table is a little slow.. but the waitresses are on point and get the food to you quick.

    I got an idea bro.. maybe when we (the active bloggers)eat places, we write a review too? For me, it’d be “Eating LBC!” hahaha dope restaurants in the Long Beach area etc.
