FM ADVENTURE: CRASH LANDING IN NYC

Reporting from New York City 2009 on the Map The Soul – Epik High and Far East Movement Tour. Our time machine vessel has crash landed in this huge city with no energy to bring us back to the future. Lets search around NY and see what we can find…
Walking around the streets of NY is pretty crazy, especially since we’re born n raised in Los Angeles. It kinda does look like a city of the future, minus the flying cars. New York is known for pizza and deli sandwiches and we were getting hungry fast. Found a deli with a crazy selection of meats, tuna/chicken salad and all kinds of deli style side dishes like coleslaw and macaroni
Tasted pretty daym good.. but the bill was kinda high for what we ordered.
For a Seafood Salad Sandwich, coleslaw and an orange juice i spent $15.00 which is a grip for what it was, but we were to daym hungry to complain… and we need more energy to complete our journey…
Met up with the MTV Iggy family at Club Circle for a private show/taping for a 30 special winners of a contest.
And heres where the DISASTER starts for FM…
Kev Nish had came down with a serious fever, cough and dizzyness.. all the symptoms of swine flu.. and the timing was bad since we heard swine flu is pretty serious in New York and the fact that we have a show today and huge shows the next following 3 days.
Time to soundcheck for the MTV Iggy private performance… They gave Kev and ear piece monitor and a vitamin c pack hahah
Best defense from catching a virus is keep your hands clean. Made sure to hand sanitizer every 15 minutes

then right after we rocked the stage.. I started feeling a fever going down.. not good.
We need some serious rest before the big show tomorrow.
Headed to our hotel docking/ resting station in Manhattan and saw chaos outside.. sirens and flashing lights all over the street. It looked like a scene right off the news, a bunch of NYFD were running into the building with axes over to the elevators. They said there was an emergency on one of the floors and the elevator was stuck with people trapped inside. Not a good sign…
Im pretty beat from a long day in a big city, and we’re all low on energy.
Time to watch a little tv, lets see whats poppin in 2009…
“ooooh NBA Playoffs is on.. LAKERS Vs. DENVER!!”
Catching some much needed sleep, the next day is a big show at the Fillmore infront of a sold out crowd, so we gotta make sure we’re energized up.
“Dreaming of turntables and FM rocking tomorrow’s sold out show.”
After a great nights sleep, always have to make sure i get rid of yesterdays food to start the day off right..

I haven’t showered since the year 3008… SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN.
And now we’re good to go for another big day.
Headed to Irving Plaza aka the Fillmore for soundcheck and as we were driving up to the venue we saw people in a line that wrapped around the block. Its a blessing to be able to rock infront of the biggest city in the US and we cant wait to get on stage. Just finished soundcheck, ate Vietnamese sandwiches from Paris cafe, prayed to GOD for a good show and only a few minutes before we rock….

You guys killed it at the private show, I LOVED IT!!! Flew in from LA to see you guys perform, lol. I stayed on 7th Ave. also near Time Square & yeah the food is pretty expensive their.
