FM PRoHgress EASTSIDE EATING FM BATTLES

EASTSIDE EATING FM BATTLES

Last stops on the All Hearts Tour with Robyn, Kelis n Dan Black… wild ride.

Picked up a bus for the rest of the cities n drove to DC first. I prefer buses more cuz airports have become too complicated. I gotta love the fact TSA is making our world a safer place but getting punked by them every morning at 6am for early flights can take its toll HAHA.

Washington, DC
Got into DC a little late, threw our stuff in the hotel and headed straight over 9:30 Club where we were peforming. Funny cuz we’re askin “where is the venue tonight?” and they was tellin us “9:30″… us “NAH.. where is the show? we go on at 6:30pm.. are they promoting that we’re going on at 9:30pm? ahhh shiiiiii**.” LOL u had to be there.

Backstage before the show we hit up the chatroom on Cherrytreerecords.com.. whenever we’re traveling and we hit the chat up it feels like a home away from home. Get to talk to family n zone out. Had to give the fam in the chat a play-by-play during robyn’s set. Then after our set we met cool fam named Aylin Vasar who interviewed us for URB.COM. Was dope cuz she was originally from Cali and moved to DC and she was a fan of our homies Wong Fu Productions and International Secret Agents which was fly. Shouts to Matt Suh n the DC crew for takin us around after the show on the search after after party.

DC IS FREE WIRED.

Philadelphia, PA – “CHEESESTEAK BATTLE: GENO’s Vs PAT’s”
2 hour drive over to philly. only 1 thing was on everyone’s mind… finding that real PHILLY CHEESESTEAK. People been tellin us about the battle between Geno’s and Pat’s. We heard its the good spot for a quick simple and authentic cheesesteak…

Saturday night online radio show in philly to answer some questions from fans off a laptop on cam. thk yall for the good questions

Right after our show at the Trocadero inbetween the meet n greet time we boned out to get cheesesteaks. We pulled up to what looked like “Cheesesteak Blvd” or something crazy cuz on this one street was Geno’s lookin like a casino in AC and right across the street was the competition.. PATS. Me n Jsplif been hypin this up for way too long so we ended up getting 1 from Geno’s n 1 from Pats and splittin em just so they could compare which one was the king of philly.

Me: “I was originally drawn to Geno’s cuz the lights and presentation of the building made me think the food would be better quality, so the marketing at Geno’s definitely wins but the food was pretty much the same. I like them both.. i can’t decide.. can i get 2 more?”

Kev Nish: “not feeling fly like a cheeseteak today.. gonna look for some shrimp.”

Virman: “I ran 3 miles today.”

Jsplif: “I gotta give the crown to Pats. The bread was softer and the steak was more flavorful”

Pat’s.

Eating FM Decision: PAT’s gets the 3 Fingers Up

—————

New York, NY
Few hours on the road n we back in NY. Fam been tellin us the spot in NY that’s better than Fatburger and In-n-out in cali would be: Shake Shack

Not even gonna check into ourĀ  hotel till we try the shack…

We’re not trying to believe there’s a franchise burger chain that tastes better than fatburger and in-n-out… you might remember the battle we had way back with “Fatburger vs In-n-Out” that got pretty heated, so we’re going to throw Shake Shack into the mix for a 3 way battle. We were also with our girl Jessica from People Mag who is also reppin LA so these judges are gonna be critical.

The line was out the door.. like some kind of ride at disneyland.. and that jus meant we had to do it even more. Dude outside was handing out menus… dam got a better selection than fatburger and in-n-out.. 4 kinds of hotdogs, burgers, all kinds of shakes, beer, cupcakes and even cupcakes for dogs? dam.

Ordered the Standard Shake Shack burger… pattie, bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, special shack sauce..

dam.. and had to get a works dog.. ketchup, mustard, relish, spicy peppers, onions, cucumber

One thing they had on the menu that i wont ever understand is a peanut butter milkshake. jsplif swears its the best thing ever invented but i dont get the idea of drinking peanut butter. J ordered it and was downing it faster than shots of patron like it was the best thing he ever drank so i asked for a sip. Huge f*in mistake. U might disagree but it was one of the worst tasting things i’ve ever drank.. and i love peanut butter.. but with jelly on bread. Its one of those flavors you don’t expect to drink and have it refresh you. Sorry but i gotta hate on Splif’s most favorite drink on the planet HAHA.

Selection wise.. Shake Shack beats Fatburger and In-N-out hands down. When we break down the taste and ingredients of the burgers tho… we all took a vote and heres how it lined up:

Eating FM Burger Battle Results:
1. FATBURGER (i disagree with this but everyone else voted this. My number 1 is In-n-out) – over all pattie and ingredients are better quality, juicier bites. plus, you can add an egg to your burger. Kev, J, Virman say its the winner.

2. SHAKE SHACK – Pattie was bigger than In-n-out n the bun was better than both Fatburger and In-n-out. But over all the ingredients couldn’t fade Fatburger.

3. In-N-Out – My personal favorite, but the crew feels it has the smallest pattie and simplest ingredients. They still can’t pass it up when they see it and i even see these fools ordering 2 burgers at a time, but they won’t vote it the best.

Action packed day in NY. Interviews at NY radio stations

Then linked up with Cherry Cherry Boom Boom, Robyn and Natalia Kills at Webster Hall for the last show of the tour. Always gets sentimental when a tour ends. Here’s the yearbook style shouts…

Dan Black and his incredible crew.. yall the ish n thx for downloading our music, lets do some more shows fam. Thx our manager Russ n the Stampede Management fam, Moodswing360 team, plus Martin K and our Cherrytree/ Interscope Team for making this tour incredible and non stop working the whole trip… Cherry Cherry Boom Boom for reflippin “Don’t F*ing Tell Me What To Drink” in just a few days, Daniel aka DPD from Transparent Agency for the Free Wired Reflip video 2 days after, Diana and the Transparent Team n 4C + FM Promoteam for holding down at home… and biggest thanks to all the free wired fam that came out to the shows to rep the far east movement. FM J-Splif JERSEY SHORE GOES APE.

FREE WIRED: JERSEY SHORE GOES APE.

Looks like Toronto is almost back to normal, we came strapped up with riot gear after our last encounter with the G20 Summit but happy to report back that there was only slizzurdness HAHAHA. We had fun this trip for sure.

Super early daytime show at the Molson Amphitheatre for the Disco Lemonade Music fest with Far East Movement, Robyn, Keane n more during the middle of the All Hearts Tour. It was 3pm daytime and outdoors and we was opening the show which means the glow n the dark part of our set aint gonna fly and we gotta turn this picnic to a party. Preeciate yall that came thru early to check us out. 3 finger salute.

Our homie Don from Interscope was in town.. we could sit in his office all day n hear stories about his travels and i think we got a story now we can all tell. Hit up a local pub after the show and when he says “I’m goin in”.. its swat team style. Put us on to a drink in Canada called a Bloody Caesar.. which is a Bloody Mary but with Clamato… even tho that clamato is killin me, n that celery is killin me… it was a bangin drink. 3 fingers up don!

On to the next, we hit up Wetbar with our Toronto team… Jp n Ives n Asphalt Regime and Universal CA team, where we were hosting a spot with DJ Glew. Dam this was faaar from the first time we was in town where people couldn’t even get into the city from the riots. Spot was jam packed n craackin…

VIDEO: Far East Movement hosting Wetbar in Toronto

Toronto.. thanks for the great time. we’re coming back October 15th with Mike Posner and Karmaloop for the Up In The Air tour so lets do it again.

No sleep. Airport at 6am and when we woke up we was at the beach.. at Jersey Shore…

After watchin all those episodes we wasn’t sure what to expect. Lookin around waitin for ish to pop off for no reason, maybe run into Snooki lol. It wasnt like the show tho. The peeps at Djais who brought us out were hella chill n cool. Got to the venue early where they hooked up a bangin lunch of Turkey Cheesesteaks and the illest jumbo shrimp cockail. Sat down with one of the OG’s there named Bon Solid who told us this spot been reppin dance music from way back. He said even when hip hop dominated the clubs they kept the beat 4 to the floor and while he was saying that at 4pm in bright daylight i could hear a electro 130 bpm joint thumpin hard like it was peak club hours. The quote of the day was “even if you don’t feel the music, after a few hours it will get you (with head knoddin to the beat)”. 3 Fingers up to Bon and the Djais crew for the hospitality.

Party people at the Jersey Shore def have the energy just like the tv show. We went on stage around 1am and the spot was slammed packed with hands in the air beatin up that beat, crazy sirens n air horns and some of the illest crowd participation around. This type of crowd is why we made the song “GO APE”… This club make me go ape shi++.

EATING FM “LOBSTER ROLL”

When we landed in Boston i tweeted yall askin what the dope food in Boston was.. and when we read “Lobster Rolls” we was on a mission. Linked up with Dennis Todisco from Karmaloop (thanks to Wally from Orisue for linking us on twitter) who’s sponsoring our tour with Mike Posner coming soon. He took us over to Faneuil Hall in downtown to find the roll. Ended up at a cool spot called Salty Dog that had the fresh oyster bar and a bangin seafood menu.

Dennis with Karmaloop Tv

Check out the FM x KARMALOOP TV “EATING FM LOBSTER ROLL SEARCH” Episode HERE

DJ Virman lookin for pearls at the bar.. no oyster.

Menu had all kinds of fish, shrimp, oysters, clams.. but we came for the Lobster Roll

Dam we got side tracked… yall also told us the chowder in boston was the biz.. so we took ur word for it.. and it was. Every bite had a clam.

when the sandwich came out… DAAAAAAAAAAAAAM. Seen the biggest piece of lobster on bread outside of eatin lobster right out the shell. Every bite was a crazy chunk of lobster. Cam with some fries and cool coleslaw…

can yall guess what review we gave this sandwich.. i wont even say.. i’ll just drop a picture..

————————————–

EATING FM Rating system:

***3 Fingers up – MUST EAT.. crave for it.. amazing food. If you dont try it your missing out on life…

**2 Fingers up – Great Taste, if you get a chance… try it… i recommend it.

* 1 Finger up
– Kinda wish i didnt eat there or order what i ordered … but i ate it and now im full.

- Middle Finger up – i threw it away while eating it… if i had a brick i’d throw it through the window.. and if i had lighter fluid and a lighter.. i’d burn that mutha down…

—-

What WE Thought:

Restaurant/ Dish: Salty Dog/ Lobster Sandwich

Location: Boston, MA

Price Range: this place was kinda too expensive for me to want this every day. The sandwich was $25… makes it less tasty.

Service: Lady at the bar was cool. we complicated when it comes to ordering and she got everything right.

What we recommend: Clam Chowder n the Lobster Sandwich

Rating: – **2.5 Fingers Up – the flavor was bangin and would have been 3 fingers up it it wasn’t a quarter of a hundred dollars.

—

After dinner we had a show at House Of Blues Boston. Found out that a grip of yall came out to see us but the venue said the show started at 8pm when our set was at 6:45pm.. so we went out to the merch booth to chill with the fam that missed the show. was real cool meeting yall. The show was still bangin.. and thanks to the fam for rockin the og far east movement shirts out there too

Reconnected with Dennis from Karmaloop after the show to after party up at Rumor. Place was jammin on a weeknight. Poppin bottles in the ice n boston gets slizzurrrd.

“That Cosmos Killin me..” lol this pic was pre-reflip.

No sleep. early morning flight to NYC.

We love u Mama Coquia.

Weather is bangin in LA right now. Outdoor mexican buffet-margaritas-live performance-type weather.

Lucy’s El Adobe Restaurant

Cherrytree put together a free wired meet n greet just for registered members n fam in the chatroom on www.cherrytreerecords.com at a classic mexican restaurant off melrose in LA called Lucy’s El Adobe. They had the whole outdoor patio set up to broadcast live on cherrytree radio and a stage set up for private performances during the day right before our LA All Hearts Tour show with Robyn and Kelis.

The new Far East Movement stickers look ILL.

A limited Far East Movement x Cherrytree promo duffle.. fill these with stickers n cds and bomb the city.

This is def the way private parties should feel…where record execs, top industry heads, fans, fam and artists can all be about the music.. can feel this community buzzin. Was cool to meet yall from the Cherrytree Chatroom and the Cherrybomb Party mix… got to put a face to a screen name.

All kinds of Cherrytree x Interscope artists in the house for performances n interviews..

Kelis

Tamar Kaperlian

Natalia Kills

Robyn

Vincent Frank aka Frankmusik

Destinee & Paris

Far East Movement… performed “Like A G6″ and we premiered a song off our upcoming album called “Rocketeer”

FM PRoHgress EATING FM “BLOODY SAC”

EATING FM “RAW BLOODY SAC”
(Food Review)

Right off the plane in Sacramento.. yep weee’re back. Met up with the 4C The Power organization for a meet n greet dinner.. and had to do it like the “Like A G6″ video.. so they took us to the known Korean BBQ spot in Sactown called OZ… Lets see if it hangs with LA

In LA we usually do the ‘all you can eat’ cuz we’re beasts… so it was good to know they do it like that here… cuz if your gonna bbq u gotta make sure u eat till ur sweatin meat.. can’t just sit down at a place, cook your own meat on a grill and leave still hungry. nah… BUT.. we do have a show later in the night with HOT 1035 so we kept it simple.

Lets start with the Bulgogi… marinated thin pieces of beef… raw n bloody plate till you grill it and kill it.

extra orders of kalbi.. ribs put meat on ur ribs.

Chef J-Splif who is our George Forman master grillman gives this spot 3 Fingers up. The whole 4C The Power team give the spot a big 3 fingers up too.. so if ur in Sactown n lookin to grill and chill family style hit up OZ Kbbq. Im pretty picky livin in LA when it comes to kbbq n this spot feels like home.

————————————–

EATING FM Rating system:

***3 Fingers up – MUST EAT.. crave for it.. amazing food. If you dont try it your missing out on life…

**2 Fingers up – Great Taste, if you get a chance… try it… i recommend it.

* 1 Finger up
– Kinda wish i didnt eat there or order what i ordered … but i ate it and now im full.

- Middle Finger up – i threw it away while eating it… if i had a brick i’d throw it through the window.. and if i had lighter fluid and a lighter.. i’d burn that mutha down…

—-

What WE Thought:

Restaurant: OZ Korean BBQ

Location: Sacramento

Price Range: $15 a head, all you can EAT or order solo.

Service: Service at Korean restaurants don’t have to be good, thats why there’s a button on every table so you can press that biiiitch till they bring you what you need. Gotta love it.

What we recommend: Bulgogi n Kalbi is safe anywhere u go.

Rating: – ***3 Fingers Up – When not in LA its good to have a taste of home away from home.

Visited our family at sactown radio station HOT 1035 for an on air interview. Huge thanks to Pattie (a diet coke addict like me), Shorte, DJ Mofo, DJ Sn1, Danny Mijangos, Freeze and the whole crew for having us and bringing us out and Killa B n our incredible Interscope team that was out there with us.

The station threw a New @ 2 show at Dream and had us perform along with Chiddy Bang, Alexis Jordan and Kardinal Official.. place got sooo nuts we did “Like A G6″ twice. Sactown is sick, thank yall for reppin the Far East Movement like that…Shouts to the FM Promoteam out there, 4C The Power Team, Mase, Max Murder, Johnny, Kalikwest, Whorehay the the crew n all the free wired party people in Sacramento.

FM n Kardinal Official… DANGEROUS.
