FM Kevnish CHICAGO BEARZ

FM ADVENTURE: CHICAGO BEARZ
(Includes EATING FM – “FLATTOPPED”)

BON V, a fresh lounge/club in Chicago, brought us out for a performance and we lovin chi-town for so many reasons.

DJ Virman is dressed to party. “Don’t Be Tardy for the Pardy”

The FM Party-mobile has arrived.

Must not eat 2 days before visiting Chicago.. so that you have enough room to eat as much food as possible when you are there. The CHI is proud of their food. Our bro DJ Flipside from Chicago radio station B96 and DJ for the group the Jump Smokers (got that hit “Now You See Me” with Pitbull), hit us up to grab a bite before the show. He took us to one of the most interesting restaurants i’ve ever been to called FLATTOP.. and it happed to be right across the street from the studio where they shoot the world famous Oprah Winfrey Show..

EATING FM – “FLATTOPPPED”
Why is this Flattop restaurant so interesting? i don’t even know how to explain. Its like a play on mongolian bbq where you build your own dish with raw veggies and stuff, then you give the cook your dish of raw stuff to cook it for you and you get back a shrunken dish of your creation… but its not really mongolian bbq, its like a new Chicago mashup lol. Lemme try and brake this down..

FM PRoHgress HOB San Diego…

FM ADVENTURE: HOB SAN DIEGO…

San Diego is like a second home for us now. Big thank you for the radio stations and clubs bumpin “Girls On The Dance Floor” out there every night. We were headed back out there for 1 of the last dates of the Party Rock Tour with LMFAO.. before we go on a 2 month tour in November/December with LMFAO, Paradiso Girls and Cold Flamez.

The venue for the night was the House Of Blues in San Diego… and i think no matter what city you are in, if theres a House Of Blues its BANGIN from the stage to the sound… and this show was Sold Out.

Back in the green room we’re putting our ’show’ together in DJ Virman’s computer.. before every show we always make 1 small change or so.. keeps us on our toes haha

Had a 30 minute set opening for LMFAO and the spot was jumpin all the way thru. When “Girls On The Dance Floor” Dropped in the spot got craaazy

Then after we got off stage, Red Foo from LMFAO hit us up to jump back on stage with them during the “Shots” remix at the end of their set. I aint heard the remix to “Shots” yet so we figured he meant for us to go on stage during SHOTS which ended up being too early, but it ended up being a good thing cuz it ended up being 1 big party on stage hahah. We all started dragging people up on stage and turned the stage into a dance floor

Takin pics with fans while the show is still going hahahha

Remember when i stage dove at the show at Galaxy? (Check out video here)

Sky Blu from LMFAO looked at me and said, lets JUMP… SO F*IT! HAHAH

What a show.

SKY BLU and J-SPLIF

LMFAO BIKINI GIRL feeling what its like to be an FM Spaced Invader.

Coming back to San Diego on September 4th at BELO in the Gas Lamp District.. see yall sooon!

FM Kevnish RENO 911

FM ADVENTURE: RENO 911

Landed in the “biggest little city on earth”… Reno, Nevada. This was our first time ever going to Reno so we were pretty excited to see a new city… and this isn’t any city, its a city where you can GAMBLE!!!!!!!! oh no.. we better hold on to our plane tickets and count our rent money cuz we’re either coming home millionaires or going broke.

Right as we step out the airport we see limo waiting to take us to the Grand Sierra Resort where we were staying and performing at night.

Now of coarse we came here to work… but being that this place is a resort, it must mean theres a ton of fun stuff to do… 1 of them being gambling haha.. and look at the smile on DJ Virman’s face… he has the look of excitement i’ve never seen in all the years and it sure aint excitement from traveling or performing HAHA

We decided to make this trip memorable and take a risk… we decided put in all the money we had on us in 1 pot which equalled $2,000… if he looses then we go home BROKE, without party money, food money or cab money for when we get back to LA.. but if we win, well… then we WIN! hahha

We gave our money to Virman since he usually has the best luck at the tables and the smile in his picture showed a confidence we’ve never seen before.. lets cross our fingers and see how he does…

FM Kevnish 5 WONDERS OF SAN JOSE.

Off to our first show ever in San Jose. Been to the Bay Area countless times but never performed in San Jose. Been blessed to have the Bay Area bumpin “Girls On The Dance Floor” all over the radio on Wild 94.9, Movin’ 97.7, 107.9 The End, and HOT 97.7. Always heard of San Jose, and i know they have the hockey team called the SHARKS, but what else does San Jose have to offer. Its the city that lives in San Francisco’s shadow but now its time for San Jo to shinee, lets find the 5 Wonders of San Jose.

The 1st Wonder: Invited to perform at Club Pearl in the Downtown Area, and the manager was telling us they’ve had some sick acts perform there from Supreme Soul from ABDC to Jay-Z. Big club and what makes this spot special is that it used to be a BANK, bank like B of A or Wells Fargo haha. From the outside it looks like a bank and when you go inside its a crazy lookin club.. and they even got the vault with the doors. During the show we can say “get your hands in the sky like a bank robbery” LOL.

Soundcheckin in a bank haha.

4 more “Wonders” to go… letsss GOOOO!

FM Kevnish MUSIC IN THE MAKIN'

FM ADVENTURE: MUSIC IN THE MAKIN’.

First stop was in Hollywood to link up with a homie and music producer named Devcon who im working with to build and finish a remix for Snoop Dogg called “Snoop Dogg Millionaire”… Snoop’s play off of the movie “Slum Dog Millionaire” and they even got the singer from the SDM Soundtrack title song to sing on the track. Dev is a crazy dude… a jack of many trades you can say. Was telling him how im cutting out fast food from the diet and he was tellin me he has crazy knowledge about nutrition and to get your healthy choice on you should eat 3 pieces of fruit a day… got enough sugar and natural goodness to keep animals healthy so it gotta work for humans too haha. Sat with Dev for a few hours and finished producing a banger with him that we’ll be dropping soon… it came out crazy.

Devcon’s Dungeon.

Yes, we are working on a ton of new music and working with a ton of sick artists. Got a chance to link up with some ILL dudes from the Bay that just moved to LA called The Cataracs. I first heard about the homies thru DJ Erock from Wild 94.9 in the bay.. waddup! They got a sick sound that fits with ours so we had to get down on something new for the clubs and the air waves. Niles n Dav make up the duo and are some F’in GENIUSES… i told them i’d say that in an interview one day if asked “What was it like working with the Cataracs?” hahaha.

Prohgress writing his verse.. “What rhymes with ‘abracadabra’?”

The track is B-B-B-BANGIN thru the roof… we finished writing our verses and laced em up.. and Niles worked his magic editing tricks to give the track some flavor… after its done being mixed and mastered this track is FLY LIKE A G6.

WILL BE DROPPING SOOOOOOOOOOON!

FM PRoHgress A LATINO FIRST?

FM ADVENTURE: A LATINO FIRST?

Made a trip to West LA for our interview on the radio station LATINO 96.3 with DJ Eddie One from the Heavy Hitters, and to celebrate our song “Girls On The Dance Floor” officially getting added to the main rotation!!!

The host from 3pm-7pm every day.. Ms Raq-C was in the houuuse

Interview time….

Its a small world, but when Kev used to work stocking records back in the day… Eddie One used to drop off vinyls he would press that they would sell like crazy.. and in the interview they tripped out about how they are both here now haha.

“Remember when Vinyl used to rule the world???”

Another really cool thing Eddie One mentioned was that we were the 1st Asians EVER… to ever be on Latino 96.3 and have a song in main rotation … i never really thought of it like that, we never think “oh man we’re the first Asians to do something” but more like we’re just some party animals from so cal that love lowridin, street wear and bumpin music…. but it was kinda cool that he mentioned that, and it was a huge honor to be there.

DJ Skream … “EL TICO MAH MAAAAAN!” (kev laced up a drop like that for Skream)

Thank you to Latino for having us and thank you to the listeners for requesting “GIRLS ON THE DANCE FLOOR”

Whenever your tuned in please give them a call to request the FAR EAST MOVEMENT!!

Call: 1-877-963-0963
Text: 52963

The song is slowly spreading to more cities nationally… becoming a top 5 song on LA’s Power 106 and 97.1 AMP Radio to getting offical adds from San Diego’s main radio stations all the way to Phoenix Arizona’s top pop station and even spins on New Yorks HOT 97 and Pulse, Chicago’s top stations, Seattle’s KISS FM and many more.

and we have crazier news….

GIRLS ON THE DANCE FLOOR is #47 on the National Rhythmic Hit Radio Charts!!!

Thank you guys for continuing to ride with FM… and as hard of a grind it is.. we love every moment of what we do and cannot do it without yall

Unregistered FM ST TEAM: Eating FM "Squeeze Inn"

FM STREET TEAM: NOR CAL ST TEAM – EATING FM “SQUEEZE INN”

On December 13, 2008 NorCal Street Team (BayArea + Sactown) got together for the first time to meet each other and discuss how we will promote FM’s new single ‘Girls On The Dance Floor’ in Norcal and also talked about the future ISA Concert.

Bay Area Street Team also had an ulterior motive to drive to Sactown for the meeting. Justine, Jerilyn and I had seen on the Food Network show “Diners, Drive-Ins, Dives” a spot called SQUEEZE INN, famous for the ‘cheese skirt’ on the burger. We’ve always thought if there was a time we’re going to be in Sacramento, we would have to go there and try it and the Norcal Street Team meeting led to the opportunity.

Bay Area Street Team ‘squeezed inn’ inside.

(This is literally what you see when you walk inside)

TIME TO REVIEW THE SQUEEZE INN….

Unregistered STEREOTYPES for a Grammy?

FM STREET TEAM: STEREOTYPES FOR A GRAMMY?

I haven’t posted for quite a while.. but I found something golden.

The Stereotypes, the hit makers. As soon as they touch a record.. it’s FIRE.

Composed of 3 members.. One Black (Ray), one Asian (Jon), one Caucasian (Jeremy). Can you guess why they’re called the Stereotypes?

These guys have produced such hit songs as Danity Kane’s “Damaged” (wrote/produced), FM’s “Girls On The Dance Floor” “3D” “Fetish” on ANIMAL and “Work” on Folk Music (also their Tokyo Pop collabos), Ne-Yo’s “Why Does She Stay”, and Bow Wow & Omarion’s “Number One’s” + many more.

So the reason I’m bringing them up is.. They’re up for 2 Grammys. THAT’S WASSUP! Both for Album of the Year and Best Contemporary R&B Album, for Ne-Yo’s “Year of The Gentleman.” Make sure you watch to see if they win!

(Click Here to view all nominations)

Nomination 1

Nomination 2

GO STEREOTYPES x NE-YO! I hope they win both. They’re dope guys and deserve the recognition of their hard work.
