FM NEWS: FAR EAST MOVEMENT SIGN TO CHERRYTREE/ INTERSCOPE RECORDS

Friday, February 12th, 2010... Its official! we’ve signed our first record deal with Cherrytree / Interscope Records. We’d like to thank GOD for always watching over us and keeping us focused with blind faith. You’ve protected us and kept us strong when situations should have brought us down and we’re forever grateful. Thank you for keeping us loyal to our dream, and loyal and appreciative of each other. Thank you for keeping us strong during the ruff times and surrounding us with a team to prepare us to become stronger for the future.

Signing with Cherrytree / Interscope Records was a dream for us from day one. A story we tell at the office all the time: back in the day Kev Nish and Prohgress used to intern at Interscope Records, coming in 2-3 days a week for over a year to learn about the music industry and the only reason Kev signed up for classes at community college was so Interscope would take him as an intern. Now… we gotta say.. it truly trips us out to be able to walk those same office halls as artists signed to the label and it means alot to us.

Thank all of you for reppin FM proudly with all your heart and all of our folks and fam that have believed in us through the ups and downs no matter the weather. So many people have helped us get here and we’re forever grateful to you, and we’re blessed to have those same people building FM harder now since this is just the beginning. This is a new beginning for the Far East Movement and for our team and we’ll need everyone more than ever.. 3 FINGERS UP and thank you guys!

Time for us to get back in the studio and finish our first album with Cherrytree Records.. cant wait for yall to hear the new music.

FM NEWS: DESIGN + VIDEO INTERNS

Far East Movement is recruiting secret agent design and/or video interns.

Requirements:
-Design applicants must know how to use Photoshop, and Illustrator. Flash, Dreamweaver, and a basic knowledge of html is a plus.
-Video Applicants must know how to use Final Cut Pro or After Effects. Maya (or any other comparable 3d program), Flash, and a basic knowledge of html is a plus.
-All Applicants must be in Southern California and able to work from the Far East Movement office at least 3 days a week.

January happens to be the birth month for the Far East Movement… Kev Nish on the 12th, Prohgress on the 14th, DJ Virman on the 24th… so we decided to put all our birthdays together into one big party.. and only for the FM CHERRYBOMBERS.

This Saturday, Jan 16th, we’ll be throwing a special FM Cherrybomb Birthday Bash on Cherrytree Radio that will broadcasting live from our family dinner/ after party at a secret location around LA. We figured the best way to celebrate would be with our global family reppin FM with 3 fingers up, and the only way we could celebrate with you all at once would be live on the FM Cherrybomb Party mix

From our Animal Tour Bus and a random hotel room near a truck stop while on the Party Rock Tour, we still gotta take a little break with the family on the road and recognize all that we have to be thankful for.

The Far East Movement has a ton of stuff to be THANKFUL For this year… Being on this tour really puts in perspective how blessed we are to have such amazing fans that have been riding with us, an awesome TEAM that’s keeping us strong and helping us build every inch of the way, all the friends-fam-and peeps in the industry that have supported and helped us along the way, and GOD for blessing us with constant opportunities and instilling incredible faith in us and all around us.

We never get a chance to say this but we’re extremely thankful for each other, that thru all the ups and downs and highest ups.. we’re not sure what kept a group of bros from blindly believing in something and never giving up no matter the weather, but grateful we’re living out our dreams as a crew… and things just seem to keep getting crazier.

uh hotel got the wrong holiday but its getting close!
